We are centrally located on MDI - close to ponds, lakes and the Atlantic, hiking in Acadia as well as near coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. This home is the perfect spot for soaking up all our island has to offer.

Tidal Shores

Relax and take it all in. Thanks to an ever-changing tide the view is constantly changing. From one of two decks, you'll see so much: a working harbor, big exposed rocks, small islands (bring your rain boots to trudge through the clam flats), and plenty of wildlife. At high tide launch your canoe and paddle around the harbor. Or just sit, read a book, and take it all in. A short ride (5-10 minutes) brings you to beautiful hiking trails, delicious food, locally owned boutiques, and so much more.

Welcome to the quiet side of Mount Desert Island! A breathtaking view of western mountain awaits you at our family/pet friendly cottage . 10 minutes to Long Pond, Seal Cove Pond, hiking trails and the pristine Algerine coastline. 15-20 minutes to Bass Harbor lighthouse, Wonderland, Ship Harbor, and Seawall picnic area. 25 minutes to main entrance of Acadia national park and Bar Harbor. Centrally located on the Blue Hill Peninsula, near Deer Isle, the cabins afford access to outdoor activities, cultural events, restaurants & shops.

Little Frog at The Howling Woods

There is an airiness to this dome-shaped hut. Light streams in from the skylight directly overhead. There is a full size bed and wood stove and a chair that folds into a cot. The home is located in a sunny clearing across the creek from the other homes. It is a short walk from the outhouse and a well where you can fill your water bottles with fresh spring water. There is a bonfire pit with a swivel grill and an outdoor kitchenette with a propane stove, frying pan, kettle and french press.

The Seamist Cottage - Converted Historic Barn

Cozy, fully converted historic barn within easy walking distance to the rocky shore of Bass Harbor, a busy lobstering port. An ideal, pet friendly, home base while exploring Acadia National Park. The Seamist is located on "the quietside" of the island. Six minutes from Southwest Harbor and thirty minutes to Bar Harbor, the Seamist also offers guests private hot tub access! Two guests maximum, not a suitable space for children. Please keep allergies in mind when booking. No smoking.
