Whether you're visiting nearby Twain Harte Lake, Pinecrest, Yosemite or just wanting to relax & enjoy sitting on the back deck with a glass of wine; You'll find our home a very relaxing and quiet stay with a short 4 min walk to town! In the winters enjoy a huge wood burning fire place and watch the snow fall in the big picturesque front windows & tall open beamed ceiling. We are located in a quiet neighborhood to decompress from the hustle and bustle.

Open the front door to the cottage to find a bright space which beautifully showcases the locally harvested Sugarpine beams and trim work. Nestled in the Pines yet close to all amenities downtown Twain Harte has to offer, you will be immersed in natural beauty both inside and outside.

You can relax outside on a private deck absorbing the sounds and sights of nature or you can take a five minute walk into the quaint village of Twain Harte where you can enjoy an espresso, many delicious restaurants and unique shops. Ideal for a weekend or week vacation in California's beautiful Sierras! The cabin is close to Pinecrest Lake for boating and swimming, Stanislaus National Forest for hiking and camping, and Dodge Ridge for skiing and boarding. We use the cabin ourselves on a regular basis, so you will find it comfortable and well equipped. The cabin is surrounded by tall pine and redwood trees and we often have deer paying us a visit in our front yard. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Camp Earnest King Yurt in Twain Harte

Welcome to Camp Earnest, a 21 acre former summer camp tucked into the Sierras in northern California, about 140 miles east of SF. You'll be staying in one of our brand new cozy yurts tucked into the trees and the hillside. Camp Earnest sits in a ponderosa, cedar and manzanita forest, with light snow in the winter and mild summers. We have a year round creek and hikes right off our property. Nearby are Dodge Ridge Ski Area, Pinecrest Lake, Calaveras Big Trees SP & Yosemite NP.
