Forest & Forage House: Privacy on Quadra Island

Built mainly from wood sourced from the surrounding forest, this private paradise is conveniently located within 5 Kms of all Quadra Island amenities. The tranquil landscape includes big trees, perennial flower and vegetable gardens, an expansive lawn that is great for an afternoon bocce session, and many private areas to escape with a glass of wine. A separate office and a new wood fired sauna is also available for guests!

This snug, hand-built cottage features large windows and a deck looking toward Hague Lake and the rocky scapes of Turtle Island. It’s tucked away in a small grove of towering Cedar and Fir trees, but in the heart of uptown Mansons Landing with stores and a bakery cafe just steps away. It is ten min. walk to swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking at kid-friendly Sandy Beach, or a 15 min. walk down to an ocean beach and Mansons Lagoon. Friday Market and Cortes Museum are a short stroll away.

The cottage has breathtaking views of Desolation Sound and the Coast Range mountains as well as the mountains of Vancouver Island. The orchard and forest creates a beautiful backdrop and a wonderful place to explore.

Escape to the Cozy Lakefront Cabin Retreat at Hague Lake, ideally situated on the south end of Cortes Island. Located on your own beach, the Elf Cup Cottage is a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the majestic views of the Sutil Channel with Cortes Island and the Tantulas mountain range as a backdrop. The Sutil channel, with its nutrient rich water is home to Humpback whales, Killer whales, sea lions and of course a curious harbour seal that calls our beach home. All this can be watched from your own private terrace overlooking the beach.
