Springvale Farm Cottages: Wilde Als

Escape the city life for a weekend getaway. Springvale Farm offers endless opportunities to relax and explore the KZN Midlands. We like to think we have the best of both worlds - the benefits of farm life, yet with all the modern comforts and easy access to cafes, trails, walks, schools, markets and golf courses. Wilde Als is a beautiful spacious 2 bedroom cottage with an open plan living area and an indoor fireplace. It is set slightly away from the other cottages providing unrivalled privacy.

Mooifontein Farm Cottage

Our Cottage is a beautiful rustic cottage on the very popular Midlands Meander Route. It is on a farm with lots of lovely open spaces and beautiful surrounding views. The cottage has a lovely warm outside shower and also a panoramic view . It is very comfortable and perfect for children and also is pet friendly for those who don't like to leave there pets at home. Our Cottage has a 1 km dirt road off the main R103,at times it can be quiet tough with a small car. Please check if you are worried

Beautiful Breeze Cottage

Beautiful Breeze Cottage sits among the stunning hills of the Dargle Valley. It overlooks 3 tranquil dams, rolling pastures and an indigenous forest. There are cattle and horses in the fields, abundant bird life to enjoy and peacefulness to breath in. It's the perfect place to recharge while escaping the pressures of city life and with the Midlands Meander on our doorstep you can be as busy or as quiet as you choose. The farm is now fully off Eskom power so load shedding is a distant memory.

Rutland Ridge Farm House

This modern farmhouse is situated on a dam, on a working farm, close to the Nottingham Road village. Overlooking a small dam, it is north-facing with views of the surrounding ridge and farm activities. The house has a glass enclosed patio, large open plan living area/kitchen, and four en-suite bedrooms downstairs. The loft area is divided into two bedrooms, a bathroom and a TV area. This home is ideal for a weekend in the KZN midlands, and very comfortably accommodates 2-3 families or 8 adults.

Family Country Cottage near Nottingham Road

Paddocks Cottage on Newstead Farm nestles in the rolling hills near Nottingham Road. Here you can find dams for boating and bass fishing, a tennis court and 25ha of indigenous forest! This rural smallholding farm with Nguni Cows and retired horses has a significant history from the 1840's and gives you the chance to experience the true peace and tranquillity of the countryside, but yet is very central to top restaurants, golf courses, wedding venues and schools. The farm runs on solar power.

Bourne View

A charming , spacious, house in the secure Gowrie Village in Nottingham Rd. Cosy in winter with a wood burner in the lounge and another in the kitchen. It overlooks a field, is peaceful and quiet and yet close to the coffee shops and eating places. A home away from home we offer comfort. (It is not a modern build, as it is one of the first houses built in Gowrie Village) Kindly note, there are 2 outdoor cats on the property that are only around for food. They won't bother guests Enjoy!

Blissful Balgowan Retreat

Tucked away on a hillside, our weekend home offers superior finishes and amenities throughout. Sunrise views and balmy evenings set the tone for a peaceful stay in a secure estate. Drink in the views and the open air, during your romantic weekend away or family getaway, or use it as a base to explore the Midlands. We are a stone's throw from Michaelhouse and the R103. We have alternate power supplies to cope with load-shedding, and our water comes from a borehole sois competely safe to drink.

Aloe house Snowdon accommodation

The Aloe house is a completely solar powered house which will not be affected by the load shedding whatsoever. You have a spectacular view of the Malungane mountain from every room of the house with its ceiling to floor glass sliding doors. their is a large fire place in the main living room to make fires during those crisp winter nights. in winter the cows calve right outside the house which can be a great insight into the farm life. sunsets over the entire Drakensberg range.

Romantic Rondawel on the forest's edge

This Bush Lodge styled cottage is only 3km away from Midmar Dam Resort and is geared for a relaxing stay. Privately positioned inside an enormous, well established Midlands Garden, it shares a boundary with River Goose Estate. The verandah overlooks sweeping lawns, with a braai area set under the African sky. The king bed is comfortable and the shower pressure is excellent. Guests have access to walks in the garden, the swings, an outdoor massage table and outdoor shower.

Located in picturesque Currys Post, 180* at Mission House is a charming studio/cottage surrounded by breathtaking views of the Drakensberg Mountains. This cottage is secluded and cozy, with expansive views and outlook. Light, spacious and airy, it is comfortably furnished with everything you'd need for a weekend away in the beautiful KZN Midlands. Mission House is in the heart of the Midlands Meander route, and only a short distance from the N3.

Yellowwoods Farm - POOL COTTAGE (self-catering)

We like to think that we have the best of both worlds here at Yellowoods! The benefits of farm life, yet easy access to cafes, restaurants, bicycles trails, farmers markets, golf courses and schools. Only 2kms off the N3, we are easily accessible and very easy to find. We are a working farm, so there will be ‘farm noise’ about and general day-to-day goings on! Cottage has braai facilities, WiFi and DSTV.
