Old Clove House

Old Clove House is a traditional Sri Lankan house with colonial architectural influences that has been fully renovated, modernized and now operating as an upmarket vacation rental home. Located in village of Mihiripenna, OCH is just 5 mins from the beach, 15 mins from Galle Fort, and an ideal base for a family or group of friends to explore and enjoy the attractions in and around Galle. STAY at Ahangama

STAY at Ahangama is a 1950s built villa renovated to its current standard in 2016. The villa is very spacious and lets in plenty of light, especially in the main livingroom area. The villa features a middle courtyard with a fish pond and a pool with a deck to cool off the usually hot temperature in Galle. You can reach Ahangama beach within five minutes (walking), and Mirissa beach or Unawatuna beach in 20 minutes by vehicle. The Galle Fort is within a 25 minute drive from our property.

The villa has been designed with 'keeping cool' in mind in this hot climate. The high ceilings and many french doors from all rooms ensure a constant cooling air flow throughout the villa. Spot peacocks, monkeys and a vast variety of birds in and around the lush gardens overlooking the surrounding paddy fields. Have a sunrise swim before working on a tan by the pool and snoozing on the hammock. The house is let on a sole use basis and has two en-suite bedrooms with king size beds. There are two full time staff. The chef comes in daily - pick from a menu and delicious food and drinks will come to you.
