"Not Too Shabby Boutique Cottage" (Pet Friendly)

A boutique 30m2 fully renovated studio cottage with décor that has an industrial and “Not Too Shabby” twist to it. Luxury feel at a budget price. Kitchenette type facilities so you can cook a basic meal. Conveniently located a 2min walk from Heretaunga train station taking you directly to Westpac stadium / the city, also close to Royal Wellington Golf Club & Trentham Race Course it is the ideal place to stay if you are attending an event at one of these venues. Cafe & bus stop 2min stroll away.

Tiny House Train-Eco stay

Thank you for renting the train as this really helps me. The train runs on solar power, all your water is spring water and is a great example of up cycling and recycling. The tiny house train is located on a 10 acre/4.2 hectare organic blueberry farm and was restored in 2018 and turned into a tiny house in May 2019. There is a cozy log burner plus electric blanket and heat pumps. There is a smart TV Netflix supplied . Wifi is Starlink with laptop friendly kitchen table. Self checkin after 2pm.

Also within walking distance to rail bus 45mins drive to wellington.

The strawbale studio.

The self catering studio is located behind the main house on a private two hectare section. It’s an open plan strawbale construction with a double bedroom hidden behind sliding wooden shuttered doors. The studio was designed for passive solar heating, with a concrete floor and large double glazed windows in the living space. There are blinds in the bathroom and bedroom, but the living space does not contain any window furnishings as this would defeat the purpose of the passive solar concept.

The homestead is located on 12 acres of land that is managed biodynamically, and there is a beautiful creek that meanders through the property. The house looks out on to Kaitoke Regional Park and is in close proximity to the Tararua and Remutaka Ranges and there are plenty of hikes and bike trails within the area and the home is located an easy 45 minute drive to the capital Wellington.
