Cathkin Haven offers self-catering accommodation. The house sleeps 8 people in 4 en-suite bedrooms. The whole house has underfloor heating, a fireplace, a television at the main lounge and uncapped wifi. The house is tastefully and luxuriously furnished. The patio has a built in braai for outside enjoyment. This house and most rooms has a beautiful view over the Central Drakensberg Mountains which is a World Heritage Site. Mountain View Ranch is a tastefully decorated, sprawling ranch at the foot of the beautiful Highmore Nature Reserve. We have great hiking and cycling trails, horse riding, a river on the property and trout fishing dams nearby. Every bedroom has a view of the mountain. Our friendly rescued horses roam our 24 hectares with our herd of Nguni and Blesbok. We have built a beautiful boma with a hot tub for winter and a dipping pool for the hot summer months.

Harrismith is the gem of the Free State, the gateway to the Drakensberg. The Rose Garden manor house was built in 1895 and is owned and run by David and Gill Weaver who have maintained the tradition of a classic B+B so you get to experience life with a South African family.

Wyford is a beautiful old school farm set in a valley just 2km off the N3 (about midway between Johannesburg and Durban) offering private self catering cottages. Wyford is great for families, especially with children, and good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. It is of historical interest as it is situated on the first pass over the Drakensburg mountains used by the ox wagons taking supplies to the mines from the coast.
