We have a warm and dependable caretaker-cum-cook and a helpful assistant, both are like family to us and make sure every guest feels at home.

Lal Kothi is chef Sameer Sewak & his family's home in countryside Dehradun. It is surrounded table top views of Mussoorie hills, Tons river, Sal forests. Guests get the 2nd floor with a private access. The space includes 2 bedrooms, a kitchen/lounge, 2 terraces & balconies. Included in your stay is a complimentary breakfast. The property is often visited by some rare and beautiful Himalayan bird species.

Luxury Earth Home in the offbeat Himalayas

The last 7 years have been an incredible learning experience. Since we moved to the village, the priorities have changed. There was a sense of discovery in everything we did. There were chai-filled conversations with elders and young turks and stories on how homes and communities were built. It's these learnings that led us to build these earth homes. Kumaon has been a great teacher. And we hope we've done justice to her sustainable ways.
