Get back to the basics in a peaceful cozy cabin at FoxFire in Vanderpool. Enjoy reconnecting with nature with a walk or swim in the Sabinal River, hike at Lost Maples Park, birdwatching, or enjoying the stars and a campfire at night! 2 Bedroom 1 bath fully furnished comfy cabins. No Tvs or Microwave but WiFi, campfire ring, BBQ grill full kitchen/bath with outdoor picnic area. The grounds also have a playground, basketball goal, volleyball net, and river access. Family and pet friendly!

Amadeo at the Frio Private getaway with pool & spa

"Amadeo" is a secluded 9 acre get away on Saddle Mountain all to yourself, not shared. 2 cabins with 2 full baths & glorified outhouse/shower by salt water pool & spa. Outdoor lounging, covered dining areas, game area, star gazing by the fire pit. We are located 1 mile from river crossing, 5 mins from town, 10 mins from Garner. Beautiful sunsets and view of the hills, also hiking. Each cabin has queen bed, full loft, full futon couch, covered porches. We also love our guests’ fur babies!

Getaway Cabin w/ access to Nueces River

A quiet family friendly getaway perfect to unwind, relax, bird watch and disconnect from everyday life. Wi-fi is not available. Sleeps up to six people. Bottom level has a full size bed, full bath, fully stocked kitchen,stove, full size refrigerator, coffee bar, screened in porch. One bathroom inside and half bath outside. Located 16 miles N. of Uvalde, bumpy entrance road is 1.2 miles N. of Chalk Bluff. Park. The cabin is 1/4 mile, walking distance to the clear, beautiful Nueces River.

Former clinic of Dr. Hershall LaForge MD, LaForge on Getty offers an updated home in the Old Town area of Uvalde with two bedrooms/2 baths and many amenities all within walking distance of downtown shopping, the Briscoe-Garner Museum, and the Uvalde Grand Opera House. Further adventures await within a few miles at the Frio and Nueces Rivers for hiking, tubing, and kayaking. Cooks Slough Nature Park is a popular spot for bird watching and hiking and is just south of the city limits.

PJ's Hideaway

This peaceful cabin is centrally located in the Texas Hill Country, close to Garner State Park, Lost Maples State Park and Hill Country State Natural Area. Drive through the Hill Country on the Twisted Sisters, enjoying the beautiful scenery and wildlife. Close by, you can enjoy floating or swimming in the Frio River and the Sabinal River at the Utopia Park. Utopia has a renowned golf course featured in the movie Seven Days in Utopia. Concan 20 miles away also has a golf course.

Central Heat & A/C along with the large covered back porch will keep you comfortable year around.

With two master suites, a huge fenced-in yard under the oaks, and a fully updated modern interior, our home is your perfect basecamp for Hill Country adventure in Uvalde, Texas—just 25 minutes from the Frio River and 35 minutes from the natural beauty of Garner State Park.

My place is close to family-friendly activities, Garner State Park (3 miles), Lost Maples State Park, Three Twisted Sisters bike roads, Frio River crossings, Leakey, Concan, Kerrville, Utopia, and Uvalde. My place is good for couples, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). Pets are an additional $15 per pet, per night. We will have to bill after you book, because there is no option on Airbnb.
