Waddle Self Catering

The Waddle is a traditional Shetland croft house, refurbished to offer a homely and comfortable stay for guests. Situated in a peaceful, quiet, remote location just over a mile from the nearby village of Walls, tucked in under the hill overlooking a sea-loch, it's a perfect place to enjoy Shetlands wildlife, scenery, peace and freedom. The Waddle is situated on an active croft. We have approximately 250 sheep with lambing in the spring, silage baling in the summer and feeding in the winter.

Your host has an extensive local knowledge of places of interest and areas to visit.

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located 2 storey dwelling house. Shops are a short drive to either Lerwick, Scalloway or Whiteness. There are 2 golf courses, one 18 hole and one 9 hole, within a mile of Braebank and a bus stop within walking distance. There is a loch next to the 9 hole golf course which is used for model yachting and trout fishing. A wonderfully central place to enjoy exploring the Shetland mainland.
