Soapstone Woodland River Retreat

Private & Secluded! This famous river & writing retreat, built based on nature's Fibonacci Sequence, was designed by architect Will Martin. It's hosted writers such as Cheryl Strayed, author of "Wild". Located on 22 acres & privately situated on a beautiful river in the midst of a true PNW woodland. Willamette Valley Wine Country Hub

Located in the heart of the Willamette Valley wine country the 1100 SqFt private unit provides a unique opportunity to experience the north west. We are at the center of a hub with equal access to Hillsboro, Sherwood, Newberg and Beaverton for all of the night life and restaurants while being within a few miles of 100+ wineries. We also offer a wood fired pizza making experience (see below for details). All of this while experiencing rural Oregon. We are on 6 acres with only a few neighbors.

The Cabin

Whimsical cabin in the woods! This tiny house is 288 square feet on one floor. It has a queen size murphy "bed in a box." It boasts a full size bathroom and kitchen. Like many rural tiny homes, the unit is equipped with a composting toilet. As an option there is also a portable toilet adjacent to the cabin. Nestled in the foothills of the Tillamook Forest, the cabin is on a beautifully forested property with gardens, decks, trails, etc. A private drive & ample parking round out the amenities.

Conveniently located at the crossroads of HWY 224 and SE Lake Road, our home, cottage and garden are the last remnants of a time gone by and what was once a large family farm. When you walk through the private gate leading to the cottage, you might feel you have stepped through a portal into another time. Everything about the cottage is secluded, peaceful and private. We are pleased to have many return visitors. The garden features a waterfall, chairs and table, BBQ and fresh herbs.

The Carpenter's Cottage

The carpenter's cottage is decorated in vintage woodworking and logging tools that have been used for several generations in our family. Rainier has a rich history of logging, lumber and woodworking. Some tools have been found nearby. Enjoy a peaceful country setting with deer, birds, occasional bobcat, squirrels, raccoons, occasional elk, but is a short walk to town. Watch deer munch on apples and relax in the shade as you walk around our 14 acres or enjoy them from your windows.

Figment Farmhouse

Enjoy this charming 1950's farmhouse, situated on 150 acres of countryside. Within an easy drive of Carlton, McMinnville, and Dundee—it's an ideal location for the exploring the area's many offerings. The house is well-appointed and surrounded by abundant gardens, towering cedar and fir trees—plus, a flock of chickens, three heritage sheep, and our Bengal cats add interest to the place. We live on the property (next door) with ample privacy/gardens between our place and the farmhouse.

Salmon Creek Studio - Quaint and Secluded

Welcome to Salmon Creek Studio - where comfort, privacy, and location make all the difference! We are just 25 min. to PDX Airport and downtown Portland, 5 min. to many restaurants, breweries, grocery, and shops. Also, we are just one block away from the entrance to Salmon Creek Trail; a popular 7-mile round-trip paved pathway. Our studio apartment is located above a detached garage with a separate entrance. and is in a small neighborhood on a dead-end street - very private and quiet!

Welcome to our peaceful, cozy retreat just 2.5 miles from the heart of Castle Rock, Washington. Nestled on the way to the majestic Mt. St. Helens, this 700 square foot, two-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage is a true gem. The house boasts a fully fenced yard, a delightful patio area with a BBQ and a picnic table, and a charming outdoor fire pit for those perfect evenings when conditions allow (No Burn Ban). Mt. St. Helens is 51 miles from the house. Mt. Rainier national park is 83 miles.
