Our tiny house is tucked away on a peaceful semi-rural lane, offering an ideal stay for individuals or couples. Just a 5-minute walk to Wainui Beach and a short 5-minute drive to downtown Gisborne, you’ll have easy access to both Gissy’s most scenic beach and the city center. We have basic bikes available to use - perfect for a leisurely ride around the area. Whether you’re here for a relaxing beach break, a work trip, or a surf session, our cozy tiny house is the perfect base for your stay.

Private Self Contained Studio Centrally Located!

The self contained Studio is located behind our Art Deco home, with your own parking bay. Located close to the " viaduct basin " of Gisborne - Restaurants, Kaiti Hill, Museum, Cycleway, Beaches and a short 10 minute walk to the river and Gisborne CBD. The Studio is private and centrally located - a great place to explore all our region has to offer, easily. The studio is perfect for couples, solo travellers and business travellers. It is great to get so many positive reviews for our Studio.

Beachfront Bach Wainui Gisborne

Beach front bach on Wainui Beach. Fantastic views whatever the weather, stunning surf beach, the bach overlooks it all. Wow factor sun rises, keep the curtains open and have a treat! The cottage has a queen bed in an annex in the main area so you can wake up to the view, or watch the waves at night under the moon. There are bunks in the bedroom, a heat pump for toastie winters, this place is a rustic humble piece of kiwiana beachlife, a total rejuvination space and a surfers heaven.

Wheatstone Studio

Our modern, architecturally designed detached studio is the perfect accommodation for couples or individuals looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Situated on a hectare block with a relaxing rural outlook our house is walking distance (1500m) to Wainui Beach and a short (5 min) drive to Gisborne city. The perfect location! Our studio mixes a luxurious but informal bach aesthetic it’s the ideal place to unwind, relax and enjoy Gisborne. BBQ and surfboard available on request.

THE BOARDROOM CHALET

The Boardroom chalet its a bright and modern 2 bedrrom unit amongst a beautiful garden. Wake up to the sound of the tuis playing in the trees! A short 5 min walk to the famous Stock route beach break at Wainui Beach, you'll also pass Zepher store on the way perfect for coffee and takeaways. There is plenty of room to roam around if you have kids and also a trampoline and tree house. The chalet is also set behind The Boardroom surf shop where LOST surfboards are produced.

Central, Spacious and Comfortable Retreat

Our spacious and comfortable retreat is located in central Gisborne, only a short stroll (200m) away from Ballance Street Village, where you will find great food, coffee and many other bare necessities (post, gift shop, florist, pharmacy, liquor store, etc). Your sunny room is self-contained and situated in a private area of the house with independent access and contactless entry system. Enjoy a luxury king bed, Wi-Fi, TV (freeview, Netflix), workspace and kitchenette.

Pōhatu Studio, A retreat by the River

Pōhatu, meaning stone in Maori, is a beautiful 1925 Arts & Crafts house built by one of regions wealthiest landowners. Lovingly restored in 2020, the guest room is self contained and absorbs the morning sun. Pohatu is located beside the Waimata River, on a 3000m2 section surrounded by mature trees and gardens which afford privacy for sitting outside with your favourite beverage. The property is a short walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.

Gisborne Dream Suite

The guest suite in the front of our character bungalow is centrally located to Gisborne town with its local eateries and beautiful beaches. Easy walking distance to the Tairawhiti Museum and the Saturday Farmers Market. It has its own separate entrance for you to come and go freely as you explore the Tairawhiti Region. We have created this little haven for wanderers, travellers and whānau (families) who want to enjoy the East Coast.

Wainui guest house

Modern 7yr old one bedroom guest house. Separate lounge and kitchen, bathroom with shower and toilet. Attached to main family house but separated by two garages giving privacy. The space is suitable for couple wanting a quiet getaway with separate entrance to the family home. 1 min walk to 1 of nz’s best surf beaches and short drive to others beautiful beaches/surf breaks and Gisborne Town .

Beach and Bush Retreat at Okitu

Set on the edge of a native nature reserve, with stunning sea views, we are offering the perfect escape 10 minutes drive from Gisborne City Centre. We live in the upstairs part of the house, and you will have your own separate entry, with access to a lock box. Be prepared for the native birdsong to which you will be serenaded with throughout your stay.
