Welcome to Longforde, a very special, charming and beautifully furnished cottage attached to our main home but completely independent with your own access and landscaped to ensure your absolute privacy. Set on 4 acres of stunning gardens, each room has private rural views of the countryside and Tararua ranges. We are located at the end of one of Greytowns most beautiful streets, a walkable 2km into the shops and cafes. As well, we are on a popular walking and biking route to the Waiohine river.

This newly built self contained guest unit has uninterrupted beautiful views from the bedroom and private outside space. Located near Masterton golf club, you can be at Mt Bruce, Castlepoint, Riversdale, or Greytown and Martinborough for beaches, vineyards, tramping or boutique shopping within 20-45 minutes. Ideal for a couple or solo traveller there is a private outside BBQ and patio space, wifi and car parking on site. The unit is a 4km paved walk to The Queen Elizabeth Park and CBD

Greytown Yurts - Luxurious Glamping Experience

Greytown yurts is luxury accommodation with all the fun and appeal of glamping but with total comfort. There is a ducted heat pump to keep you comfortable all year round. The interior offers a luxurious and calming environment, with beautiful views across our garden. It has a very comfortable king size bed (183 * 203 cm), with superior linen, bedding, towels and robes. A one off cleaning fee and 20% service charge will be added to the price. Eco Studio Retreat Maraetotara Valley

Our place is a unique architectural designed passive solar, straw bale home with recycled native wood and natural clay finish. Enjoy the warmth, peaceful feel and views of the beautiful Maraetotara valley and relax in the natural spring water hot tub. The 30 sqm studio is located within the main house, has a separate entrance, private deck and parking with EV charger. Kitchen with toaster, microwave, fridge, induction cooktop and electric BBQ on deck. Breakfast pack for the first day.

Cosy Gorge Retreat

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. With access to private river location and bush walks. A nice cosy cottage perfect for one or two. Relax with the calm surrounding sound of nature, river and native birdsong. Our eco cottage "The Snug" has been created with recycled materials, giving it a unique character. Some features The Snug includes are a composting toilet, a small wood burner for warmth, and it overlooks a medicinal herb garden and some friendly animals see photos.

White shed, modern rustic

Our rural shed is a spacious self-contained getaway with sun and views of the surrounding countryside. It is best suited for 2 guests, but can accomodate 4, with a queen size bed upstairs and a fold-out sofa in the living room. A fold out bed is available for children. We stock the kitchenette with free range eggs, locally made bread, homemade jam, butter, milk, tea and coffee. There’s a BBQ available. We’re 5 minutes walk to the Carterton shops and near the railway station.

Once you have finished relaxing you can go for a mountain bike ride and choose from 20 tracks. Cold? No problem, the fire will be set up ready to light upon arrival. Cheese board and wine supplied when you arrive and a breakfast basket of locally sourced/ NZ made produce all included in your stay. Don't forget your togs for the hot tub with an incredible view.
