Te Tiro Cottage One & Glowworms

We have two beautiful “Pioneer-style” cottages nestled in amongst the stunning Waitomo landscape. Enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the central North Island and mountains in our two self-contained, pioneer-style cottages (sleep 4 persons). - Cottage set-up to sleep 4 people - 2 Adults and 2 children - 2 Couple (Cozy) The price is for up to 4 guests. Our place is great for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). We are a 15-20 minute drive past the Waitomo Village so it pays to eat before you come up or bring supplies with you. There is a two element cook top and a microwave. The cottage is one room with a queen bed down and a small loft above that has two single mattresses in it. Cosy but cute. Each cottage has its own bathroom about 8 steps from the cottage. We would love you to come and share our little piece of paradise. The accommodation is nestled within a bush setting on top of a hill where you can see out over the whole central north Island. You even have your own grotto only meters from your door where you can sit quietly surrounded by a galaxy of Glow-worms. Enjoy the starry nights and peace and quiet of the country. You are more them welcome to wander around the farmland and enjoy the fantastic views, check out the Dab Chick Pond and beautiful native bush. Amazing views/Glowworms/Native bush/Caves/Black Water Rafting. If we are not going to be home there is still family around to help out if needed. Check in is from 3pm/ check out at 10am.

A perfect spot to spend summer with your loved ones or just to get away from it all and have some quiet time alone. Our holiday home sits atop land that was once the Lemon Point Mission Station at Te Waitere Peninsula. On over 12 acres of land with access to the beach a few minutes walk away by road or take the route across the paddocks if you want private access.

Cabin 3

Relax and unwind in cabin 3. Queen sized bed. Amenities such as toilet, showers, dining area, and kitchen all located within our campers area. Cabin 3 is private, however amenities are communal. We do not have WIFI. Cabin has solar lighting. There are no power outlets or heating within the cabin, however there are power points in the communal area. We encourage guests to arrive during daylight hours to locate cabin and become familiar with surroundings and facilities.

Gods Rock Cabin - a unique experience

Look out to a forested coastal view and watch the sun go down on the sea or shine on the limestone rocks in the morning . Cabin has all amenities for an amazing off grid glamping experience. Transport to cabin is by 4x4 ( provided with host driving ) a 15 min drive or you can hike through hill country overlooking sea views takes about 35 mins . Car parking at main lodge . Waitomo caves is 30mins , guests must bring their own food for their stay , coffee/tea provided.
