Our cabin, located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains is uniquely positioned overlooking a large open field where hawks hunt and bears leisurely stroll. Our neighbors have horses that peer over the fence (nosy) pet them but don’t feed them, please. Our cabin was built in 1865 by a Confederate soldier returning from the Civil War. Eleven children were born and raised in John Pope Cabin. Our cabin is rustic. An inviting front porch with swing is waiting for you @walnuthillcabin

Absolutely charming historic log cabin on 87 acre farm set in the middle of the George Washington National Park. You will have unlimited walking and hiking access right out of your front door! Glenmont Farm is just a 90 minute drive from Washington DC. The cabin is well equipped with excellent central heating and air conditioning, fast WiFi service. This gorgeous chalet perched on a high hill is surrounded with trees and features an enormous wrap-around deck, HOT TUB, wood-burning fireplace, huge smart TVs and a GAME ROOM for adults and kids with every fun game you can imagine- pool, ping pong, PacMan video arcades, darts and more. Each bed is new and there are king beds and trundle beds to accommodate visitors of all ages. Please note there is an extra charge of $75 for first dog, $25/ea for 2nd/3rd (2nd/3rd dog fees charged later).

The Cottage

Need some time to refresh? Spending time in the foothills of the Skyline Drive at our cozy cottage may be for you. Well behaved dogs are welcome but not on furniture. The driveway is long and home is very secluded. Winter access will be subject to weather conditions. Driveway does not get plowed and gets rutty during rainy periods. Cell service is spotty on Browntown road. The cottage has a landline and wifi. Use your wifi calling feature for cell phone use. More info under photos.

Doah House is a private retreat perched on a bluff atop the Blue Ridge, with wide views over the Shenandoah Valley. A calm container for rest and observation, the pace softens, shaped by small rituals: lighting the fire, soaking in the wood-fired tub, making coffee by hand. Weather moves through the trees, changing the light, the air, the sound. Each day feels different. The forest shifts, and you might, too.

Cedar River Retreat~ River Access~Hot Tub~King Bed

Gorgeous log cabin nestled in the forest with lovely river access within the community. Soak in serenity, visit nearby wineries, go antiquing and of course canoe, kayak, or float down the river, or simply sit on the bank and listen to the water rush by. Walk through our wooded lot and you will see deer, squirrels, and Willy, our resident grandaddy groundhog (he loves apples if you want to bring him a treat.)

The Lodge at Skyline Parkway

This Shenandoah gem is the closest rental to the entrance of the famous 105 mile Skyline Drive that runs through Shenandoah National Park! This spacious and comfortable log cabin includes an open-concept living area and kitchen, AMAZING outdoor kitchen with pizza oven, expansive lower level game room, screened porch and hot tub!
