Welcome to the Hole in the Rock Yurt — a truly special retreat with stunning views that we’re sure you’ll love. The yurt is super warm and cosy, perfect for relaxing in comfort. It sleeps up to four guests with a king bed and a pull-out double sofa bed. If you’re travelling with a larger group or family, we also have a studio on the property that sleeps an additional four guests, featuring a king bed and a pull-out double sofa bed. Built by two brothers in 1924 and lovingly restored by the present owners, this bach boasts charisma and character. Located on a private section, sheltering right behind the sea wall and within minutes of the amazing Pancake rocks and the stunning Paparoa National Park, this bach enjoys a truly ideal location. An abundance of activities such as kayaking, surfing, mountain biking, walking, swimming and stand up paddle boarding await only a few minutes walk away.

We do not live on the property so this place suits independent travellers who have a car, wanting to spend time on a west coast beach. Only 3 minutes drive to Hokitika township.
