While our place truly is a tucked away secret sanctuary, we are also in a sweet spot of ULTRA CHICAGO CONVENIENCE.
This unit is located on the second floor- up a somewhat steep staircase.
Bedrooms | Each bedroom is city size cozy - one has a queen size bed with a Casper mattress and a large closet, and the second features a Lubi sleeper daybed from CB2.
Kitchen | Full kitchen, completely remodeled with apartment size stainless steel appliances and a marble dining/work table. A convection toaster oven, microwave, full set of dishes, glasses, and flatware, barware, assortment utensils, and pots and pans. There is a french press, a Keurig coffee maker and electric kettle. If something you want is not in the unit we probably have it, please don't hesitate to ask.
Living Room | The t.v. is internet connected and equipped with Roku for access to Netflix, HBO Now, etc. While there is no cable, the t.v. is connected with a digital antenna allowing for viewing all local channels in HD.
Dining Room | Large dining table which allows seating for up to ten.
Bathroom | Elegant & brand new bathroom with beautiful brass finishes and a CLAWFOOT TUB. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom under the sink.
Washer and Dryer is in the unit
Please just ask if you need extra towels, an iron and ironing board, or anything else we may have forgotten.
Also, please let us know if you need the daybed set up for sleeping.
Please feel free to use the deck and garden. Small gatherings could be permitted with advance notice, as we have neighbors and other tenants to consider.
We're usually on the property, so it's easy to find us if you need anything.
But, we also intend to give you your space and not bother you. Just let us know if you need anything, texting is the best way to grab our attention.
Also, we have added some of our favorites to the Guidebook - but we have so many more - please feel free to ask us about anything in any area - We have lived here many years, in many areas of the city.
You'll be staying in an active, up-and-coming neighborhood with an absolute plethora of eating and shopping options within walking distance. The garden is an absolute gem - there's no better outdoor relaxation spot this close to downtown Chicago.
Half a block from the 56 bus, going straight to the The Blue Line will take you from O'Hare to about 5
The Blue Line is also the fastest way to get downtown, with stations at Division and also Chicago, however the 56 Bus on Milwaukee also goes straight to the loop and is only half block away. Chicago Avenue has a bus that brings you right to the center of Michigan Avenue, also known as the Magnificent Mile - Chicago's retail mecca. Also, Chicago has a citywide, year round bike system called 'Divvy' and there is a pickup station very close by on Noble and Milwaukee, half a block from the abode.
