There are 20+ restaurants/fast food options within a 1 mile radius; several within accessible walking distance. Traveling in groups? No problem. There is plenty of convenient parking on site along with a beautiful private patio and backyard.

The Cottage at Benedict Farms is a quaint farmhouse (circa 1902) located near Crawford, just minutes outside of Waco. The Cottage is located on our family farm. We invite you to come and experience farm life hospitality. Relax by the fire pit, collect eggs, or watch and enjoy the animals (cattle, sheep, donkey, pigs, chickens and mini horses). Perfect for families and small groups! We are just down the road a bit from Magnolia Farms. Downtown Waco, the Silos & Baylor are only 22 minutes away.

We have two kayaks available to explore the Brazos or just dive in. Lake Whitney is just 5 minutes away to swim, boat, or ski. This spacious suite includes leather couch and chairs. The accents that will feel like your “home away from home!" Relax in the rockers on the cute front porch for some true “recreation.” The adjacent kitchen dining area is well equipped for cooking with a small size refrigerator, stove, microwave and coffee/tea station. The cottage has a simple but elegant country home feel. There is a large swing nestled in the large pecan trees that is fun for thrill seekers.

We invite you to stay & experience all of the beauty that Lake Whitney has to offer. Located in a quiet neighborhood atop a bluff, the lakehouse is spacious enough for a group of friends or family and has a panoramic view of the lake that is accessible (this will count as your exercise for the day!) for swimming or fishing. If you'd rather stay on dry land, hike at Lake Whitney State Park or play a round of golf at White Bluff Resort-both just 15 min. away.

Dan’s Place - 14 miles to Baylor & Magnolia

3 bedroom 2 bath, 1500 sq foot cottage close to Tradinghouse Lake. The cottage was built in the late 1940's and was totally renovated in 2017. It is isolated with only one neighbor across the street and is very peaceful. It has a small pond that has a fountain, and is stocked with Bass, Crappie, Bluegill and catfish. Fishing poles and baits are provided. Small gatherings/parties are permitted. I have had several small weddings in the past.
