Swallow Cottage, Auldgirth - north of Dumfries.

Swallow Cottage was lovingly converted by Steve and Sarah from McMurdoston's old granary in 2014 and provides a wonderfully peaceful place to stay while exploring Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage is only 20 minutes drive from a 24-hour supermarket, a cinema and numerous eateries, but once you get here you'll feel as if you are truly in the middle of nowhere. We live just across the yard if you need us and we'll do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and quietly memorable.

The Cheese House Self Catering Cottage

The cottage comprises of an ensuite family room with a double bed and bunk beds, a living/dining area, a fully fitted kitchen, and another bathroom. It's perfect for couples and families of up to 4. The cottage has central heating so is lovely and warm, and is a great home from home. Enjoy a peaceful break on our organic working farm, set amid the stunning scenery of Dumfries and Galloway, ideally situated for easy access to local attractions. All guests welcome. 'Courtyard Cottage' is situated in a courtyard - previously stables and tastefully converted to a high standard. Easy driving distance of the A74(M), with good rail & bus links. The cottage provides the ideal base to enjoy the many cultural and outdoor activities available in the area. Plenty of lovely walks, sailing, fishing, wild life and great night skies. Perfect to kick back and relax after a day of exploring the many attractions and scenery. parking is available.

Although only two miles from Dumfries Town Centre it is in a quiet, rural location. There is ample parking beside the cottage and a lockable room for storage of bicycles and other leisure equipment.
