The Blacksmith's bothy is a traditional black house with thick lime washed stone walls. These compliment a modern kitchen and wood burning stove. Set in a peaceful location, the building is over 100 years old. It is surrounded by croft land and spectacular cliff top walks. Situated very close to Spar cave and 5 minutes drive to Elgol. A private, screened deck area and hot tub is adjacent to the bothy with sea views through a wooded glade. Perfect as a romantic retreat.
Wake to the morning call of Invercaimbe's resident Curlews and fall asleep after witnessing one of Arisaig's spectacular sunsets. Perched directly above the beach, Invercaimbe Croft House is a tastefully decorated, traditional croft house perfectly suited to both families and couples alike.
'Shindig' is a traditional stone croft house found at the most Southerly part of Skye, at Point of Sleat. A step up from camping, it's a basic bothy-style experience, although with hot running water and gas oven. No electricity, a leisure battery provides some light, candles provide the rest! There's a pristine white sand beach 2 minutes walk from the house. Stunning seascape views to Rum /Eigg. Use of kayak and fishing gear. This is more "hands-on" than your normal holiday cottage.
