Play horseshoes out back. 18 miles south of Saratoga, with fishing, hunting, hiking, and riding opportunities within a 30 minute drive of the property in multiple directions. Also, great snowmobiling opportunities in the winter. Enjoy food and drinks a mile away in Riverside and Encampment.

The Palmer House is located on the historic Oxford Horse Ranch that was established in 1887. The old log house is remodeled in a Victorian style. Adjacent to Routt National Forest and the Zirkel Wilderness. Moose, elk, deer, pronghorn, bear, wolf, fox call this special place home. Cabin is off-grid, dry cabin. Private trails for hiking, biking, xc ski or snowshoe on our Elk Run Trail. 4wd preferred travel in winter. Parking is at the cabin or for low clearance vehicles 200 feet below. Wood burning stove for heat and to warm food. Blackstone grill & French Press provided. Solar lights. Water is supplied. Compost potty.

The peace, quiet and beautiful views will help you unwind and relax. We have dozens of games for your whole family, are close to trails and lakes, and have a fully equipped kitchen and coffee bar (including a coffee grinder). We have great internet, making it easy to work remotely if you'd like! We know you'll love it up here as much as we do!
