Upstairs offers a private Jacuzzi veranda with views of Lake Kournas and the Aegean. Built into a sun-warmed hillside in southern Crete, our main house was the one we designed for ourselves — and it shows. Open-plan living with floor-to-ceiling windows, mountain views to the north, and sunsets over the Mediterranean to the west. Relaxing in the living room, you can see the ancient Minoan palace of Phaistos across the Messara Valley. It's the kind of place where you sit down with your coffee and an hour disappears.
