A charming historic country house, full of character on the edge of a sleepy village in rural Berwickshire with views through the tall trees to the romantic Lammermuir Hills. Originally the family home of the minister for the Church opposite, the house has been extended from the 1770s onwards. Large, generous bedrooms and outside a mature garden with fruit trees and tall beech and oak trees. The house has a barbecue area, a trampoline, and a working vegetable garden beyond the garden wall.
The 'Little Lodge' is a small, well appointed space that sits in a traditional grass paddock. The Inside is simple and cosy offering a well equipped kitchen and luxurious on-suite bathroom (shower). Delightfully remote yet actually just 1 mile from the A1 makes us easily accessible. It is the perfect getaway for those wanting peace and quiet. A hot shower after a long walk along the coastal path followed by a glass of wine on the deck or by the cosy stove is the perfect way to end the day.
Northumberland is an amazing place to live will be happy to share it with you.
