The lower level of our Jewel Lake Home with a separate entry, and fun backyard. This is a recent remodel; an eclectic space with vintage wood ceilings and a blend of industrial+ modern detailing. We are 5 minute drive from the airport, and guests can enjoy Alaskan wilderness right from this space. A forested trail system lies right behind our house for walking and biking. Guests may collect eggs from our chickens, use our forest-side hot tub, stoke the firepit, or use paddle boards at Sand Lake.

We aim for you to feel as though you’re visiting family. The property features a spacious yard with a swing set & sandbox for kids. Pat may greet you on arrival & is always happy to share his love of Alaska & local insights. Guests enjoy fast Wi-Fi, convenient laundry access, & the chance to see local wildlife right outside the back door — moose (often with calves), ravens, Steller’s jays, squirrels, & on rare occasions, a bear. We also provide plenty of resources to help you plan your stay.

Great Apartment (late check-in late check-out!)

Please note before booking that check in is after 6:30 pm and check out is before 4 pm! I named this unit Geode-it is nice and homey on inside and not renovated on the outside, yet. Built in 1949, a decade before Alaska was a state and stayed in the same family for many generations. Our family purchased it in May 2023. We are having fun up-cycling this special place. The funds go right back into renovating our property for future guests. Lovely quiet neighborhood and large shared yard.

Includes 120-acres of Alaskan wilderness with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room, sleeps 6. The accommodations include a walk out, wrap-around balcony. The 1250 sqft suite is the entire 2nd floor of my home. It is accessed by its own staircase and balcony. A 3-mile hiking trail takes you to 5500 ft. Behind your interior “front door” is your Queen bed; TV room; kitchenette; and bathroom with tiled walk-in shower and the best backside feature ever: heated bidet toilet. I live and work upstairs. There's plenty of space for all.
