The "Sunshine Cabin" enjoys ample natural sun year around from its lofty position up in the trees. The large picture window overlooking Big Lake provides a birds eye view (partial view) of both the canopy and lake. This 81’ deep lake has an island and home to many types of fish that's why we brought fishing/recreational kayaks for our guests. The boat launch access is just 1.6 miles from the sunshine cabin. The cabin is secluded on 1.45 acres of trees. The place has 18 stairs to the 2nd floor.

The property is bounded on 3 sides by the Au Sable State Forest. Situated in a relatively remote portion of the lower peninsula, guests are virtually assured a tranquil stay. Our cabin is nestled in the trees with a short walk to Lake St. Helen. Relax after a day of fun in the sun or trails! 3 bedrooms, 1 bath plus an outdoor shower. We have 1 king bed, 2 full beds and a couch. Many state ORV trails nearby. Ride from the cabin to the trails. Fishing at the pier or boat rentals available at the marina. Cookout, have a campfire, or head into town to eat. We have a jet pack by Verizon for limited wifi service or bring your own wifi. Smart TV w/out Cable.

Short 5 minute walk to lake and road end dock from our charming, highly rated cozy cottage . Take in breathtaking sunsets, swim or kayak from the shared dock. We have two kayaks for guest use. Close to Samoset Park and beach. Several nearby boat launches. Ten minutes from two state parks. One hour from Traverse City. 99 miles to Mackinaw City.

Cozy Cottage on Five Lakes. Close to the expressway , snowmobile trails and downtown Gaylord. Fully stocked kitchen, fireplace, high speed internet and a smart TV so you can stream your favorite shows or just watch Netflix . Bring your kayaks and your fishing poles - nice deck to watch the sunset. Dogs are welcome for an additional one time fee of $35.00. There is no fence and because this house is on the lake dogs and children must be watched at all times.
