Rustic Farm House

Secluded small farm house nestled in among maple, apple and pine trees. Lots of parking for trailers and guests. Wood burning Sauna on property. Just a short walk down the hill is our Private rock beach On Lake Superior with a fire pit to get cozy and watch the sunset. The main cabin also has a fire pit for your enjoyment. This is a quiet place with whitetail deer being the only thing to come and visit. Occasionally you’ll see bald eagles fly overhead looking for their dinner. Walking trails.

Immerse yourself in Mother Nature's beauty when you stay at this remote Upper Peninsula cabin! It has a sprawling yard leading down to a beautiful lake, and is otherwise surrounded by wild North Woods forest. The lake is a great place for motor-less water activities: fishing, canoeing, kayaking, etc. This cabin is also a good halfway point between many U.P. attractions. Enjoy outdoor activities with hiking trails and waterfalls nearby. Dock your boat at the nearby marina and explore the lake or use the 2 kayaks/1 canoe that you can launch from the house. If you don’t want to leave the house there’s plenty to do with 235’ of private lakeshore, ping pong, corn hole, bumper pool, board games or enjoy a lakeside fire.

Located on Portage Lake in Chassell, MI, near Houghton with quick access to Michigan Tech University, this rustic family cabin is a great place for either an overnight stay or a longer getaway. It provides a great home base for travel in the Keweenaw peninsula! As a 1930s cabin with a sauna on the lake along with a great view, the focus is on the experience! We find guests who truly enjoy our place are flexible with rustic conditions (not looking for Holiday Inn Express) and young at heart!
