Stunning comfortable home in Lamu Town, a world heritage site, less than 100m from the sea, restaurants, museums, main street & fort. Architect-designed Nyota house is spread over 4 floors, with a freshwater pool, three double bedrooms, a living room, which can be used as a fourth bedroom, and an expansive rooftop. Our wonderful house manager Harrison will take care of everything, including meeting you at the airport, arranging boat trips and tours. We can also arrange a chef for your stay.

Maridhiya House - History and Charm in Old Lamu

The house comes complete with the services of our helpful staff who will be pleased to collect you from the airport and to shop, cook and guide you around town and island. Wifi is also included.

Catherine House - a traditional Swahilihouse

Our house, Catherine House has a large comfortable, relaxing rooftop terrace with a large dining table, two daybeds and a hammock. The house is situated two minutes from the historic center of Lamu town, the big market and three minutes from the seafront. Find your way for a stroll in the lively narrow streets, shopping or some of Lamus restaurants, for boat trips to nearby beaches, other islands and villages. Kai House, Kiwayu Island, Lamu Archipelago Kenya.

Kai House is set on the Idyllic Island of Kiwayu within the Kiunga Marine Reserve. Kiwayu Island is part of the Lamu Archipelago. Kai House began when I worked at Mikes Camp for many years and together with the island community we built this house traditional style out of palm fronds and coconut leaves mangroves and driftwood. Now we have been hosting guests here for 6years. It’s in the most idyllic setting The full name Maja Kai means Water Village. Comfortable affordable accommodation

Kinooni House: A stunning historic house restored!

Kinooni* House is one of the most ancient houses on Historic Lamu Island. Once the home of the Governor of Lamu, who was then the emissary to the Sultan of Zanzibar at the end of the 18th century, it has now been carefully restored with traditional Swahili design and craftsmanship to bring back the elegance, simplicity, and grandeur of the original mansion. * Kinooni means “the place of the sharpening stone” so Nyumba ya Kinooni means : “ the house of where the sharpening stone is”.

ONEWAY House Lamu Seaview Rooftop and Pool

ONEWAY House, a beautiful three-story home is located in the heart of the historic Lamu Stone Town. In 2012 the award-winning architect Urku Sanchez transformed a dilapidated ruin into this elegant structure. The renovations were carried out with sensitivity to the Swahili architecture and Islamic culture of Lamu. With four spacious ensuite bedrooms and various sitting areas, the house can comfortably accommodate up to 8 adults and is ideal for families or groups of friends.
