Our modern, well-equipped home sits right by the sea with breathtaking mountain views, surrounded by pristine Arctic nature. Spot reindeer, otters, moose, or even whales, and watch the Northern Lights from the porch. Steps away, enjoy a panoramic sauna by the water. A traditional BBQ hut is available as an optional rental. This is our beloved home, and many guests tell us they fall in love with it too. Few places blend comfort and wilderness like this. We never tire of it—and hope you will, too.

Authentic and Romantic Lodge close to nature

Authentic and romantic lodge originally built of timber and used for the first time back in 1850 as housing for as many as 10 persons. Situated between the sea and the forest and with the northern light as only light in the dark season this might be the perfect place to enjoy North of Norway. The perfect match for a couple, but will also function very well for up to four persons. It is renovated to a modern standard in 2018, with focus on maintaining the heart and soul of the old building.

Lite og koselig anneks, med akkurat det du trenger for å overnatte. Det ligger fredelig og landlig til på Sommarøy, rett ved stranda. Stranda er flott for små spaserturer både sommer og vinter. Lite lysforurensning, så perfekt for å nyte nordlyset. Annekset har en god dobbelseng og vindu med utsikt til havet. Det er et lite bad, med liten dusj, vask og toalett. Der er en liten gang for å henge av seg, kjøleskap der du kan oppbevare litt mat og vannkoker for å koke litt kaffe eller te.

That's why we offer you free rental of bicycles, snowshoes, canoes, firewood, barbecues and kayak for those with experience. The apartment is on the first floor and has large windows. It is in the nature surrounded by the ocean, white coral beaches, islets and reefs, you can see this trough the apartment windows. Park right outsidee and indside you really have everything you might need.

Apartment in beautiful Grøtfjord

Do you want to stay in a beautiful remote place, while still connected to the city? Grøtfjord is located just a 40 min. drive from Tromsø. Close to some of the areas most amazing mountains, fjords, ski and climbing areas. a. Big appartment with 1 bedroom that holds a king size bed and one bunk bed. There is a fold out sleeping couch in the living room. All facilites, towels to firewood are included! A car is needed to get to grøtfjord. The hosts live in a different section of the house.

Spectacular new build house (2018) in a lovely, quiet area with a beautiful view to the fjord/sea, mountains and forest in Kvaløya /Tromsø. You can watch the beautiful northern light / aurora borealis from the huge window (10 sqm), sitting in the living room with a cup of tea or coffee in your hand:-) This is a perfect place for tourists who wants to see the northern light, whales in the fjord at winter, hiking/ skiing in the mountains or everything else you want in this lovely city.

Nytt hus med meget høy standard på Brensholmen, ca 40- 50 min kjøring fra Tromsø flyplass. 2 km til nærbutikk og ca 10 km til kro og hotell på Sommarøy. Huset er på 150 m2 og er på 2 plan med 5 soverom + liten eldre sovehytte på 15 m2. Ligger idyllisk til ved sjøen, så nært at bølgene kan slå i mot murveggen ved høyvann. Her kan du nyte nordlyset rett utenfor døren. Er man heldig, kan man også se hval fra vinduet i sesongen desember til mars. Ørn og oter er nesten et daglig syn.

Northern Lights Paradise is beautifully situated on Brensholmen near the sea, with a view of Sommarøy. It’s about 50 km from Tromsø Airport and 5 km from Sommarøy, with a grocery store and ferry to Senja within walking distance. The property features a large outdoor area, a 50 sqm terrace, and ample parking. Perfect for families, the cabin is equipped with cribs, a high chair, and toys for indoor and outdoor use. A fire pit with a fire pan is also available.

Dette er vårt eget hjem på Sommarøya, som vi leier ut i korte perioder. Huset er lyst og praktisk, med to soverom, to bad, fiberinternett og gode uteområder. Beliggenheten er rolig og naturnær, med kort vei til strender, butikk og flotte turmuligheter. Perfekt for gjester som ønsker å bo som lokalbefolkningen og oppleve Sommarøya på en autentisk måte.
