A cosy hideaway in the hills

Unwind at this peaceful oasis in the hills of Argyll in the Trossachs national park. Our converted barn has a twin bedroom downstairs & double room on the open mezzanine above an open-plan living kitchen area. The bathroom has a bath and separate shower, as well as a washing machine and a tumble drier. Access to the adjacent forestry road is via a car park 100m north along the roadside. This offers extensive walking routes, including to the Benmore Botanic Garden, Pucks Glen & The Coylet.

Escape to the aptly named Tigh Na Mara Cottage which in Gaelic means “at the edge of the sea”. This romantic cottage is a place to find your soul and escape the stresses of life. It sits right on the edge of Loch Fyne in the delightful fishing village of Newton. It has recently been fully refurbished and has unrivalled views over gorgeous Loch Fyne. We accept a max of 2 well behaved dogs no larger than a Labrador. Separate garden for guests use. Safe little beach and swings just across the road . Start of the Goatfell path 5 min walk away. Located in the north Arran village of Lochranza, this house is an ideal jumping off place for hiking, visiting Arran’s attractions or for a day-trip to Kintyre. By day, enjoy watching the yachts come and go and catch sight of some of Arran’s wildlife. In the evening, cozy up in front an open fire after taking in one of Arran’s long sunsets. Please note the property may not be suitable for children under 5 and I don't provide any baby/child equipment (eg stair gates).
