Our luxury Shepherd hut is brand new for 2023 and is nestled in its own private walled garden. It once belonged to the Swythamley Hall estate, where they grew fruit and vegetables for the people of the beautiful, impressive hall. Sit back and relax in your very own garden which is approximately 1 arce! You are surrounded by a private wall, woodland and nature. Sit with a glass of wine or a cooled beer and take in the breath taking views of the rolling fields, trees, animals and the roaches.

A private space with ensuite bathroom, lounge area, 1 x king bed only, kitchenette (hob only) large courtyard, lockable garage. Dog friendly up to two dogs. We offer a complimentary cold breakfast provision. Washing up done by host as no kitchen sink. Coffee, Located a short distance from Bakewell/Matlock in the village of Birchover. checkin 3pm checkout 10am. We love dogs but do not allow to be left unattended or on our bedding. The house comfortably sleeps 6 and 7 at a push. Lots of space to chill out including a private garden for some fresh air. There are 2 bedrooms including a triple bed and a huge luxurious bathroom with a stand alone bath and separate shower.

We are close to the A50 and A38 providing easy links to major motorways.

17th century cottage in Matlock

A very old stone cottage but newly renovated inside. The cottage was my home, my children were all brought up there. I now live in a barn at the top of the driveway which we tried to build in as energy saving way as we could. During the cottage renovation we have tried to make the space as 'green' as possible.
