Romantic Getaway - The Caboose

Romantic Getaway. The Caboose is a handcrafted replica of a train carriage, with a small private garden. Set on a half acre property next to our historic farmhouse, centrally located at the outskirts of Motupipi, at the eastern side of Golden Bay, only 5 minutes drive from the beach and 5 minutes from Takaka township. The outdoor shower, bath and toilet are all in the private garden that can be accessed with stairs from the side of the balcony of The Caboose. Full cell phone coverage.

Ruru Cottage is set at the foot of native forest above a beautiful stream, with outside hot bath . A queen bedroom opens off the open plan kitchen living room and two lofts up sturdy ladders provide a twin and second queen. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin. Decks wrap around two sides with outdoor furniture and BBQ. A front loader washing machine, full gas oven, large fridge freezer, microwave and log fire complete the picture. 300 metres walk to sandy swimming beach.
