The Old Post Office Apartment

Situated just 15 minutes drive from Center Parcs, this quaint 1863 house the home of Ardagh Village Post Office since 1908 is set in a beautiful historic estate village It has recently been reconstructed with modernized eco friendly additions and now opens its doors again, offering a relaxing, homely, comfortable break in an olde-world style apartment Just a 10 minute drive from the towns of Longford & Edgeworthstown Lyons's pub in the village serves great Guinness....but sorry no food !!

Room with a View

The apartment is situated on first floor (not ground). Perfectly located in the countryside giving you peace and quiet with fabulous views from the balcony overlooking Lough Allen. Close to Kilronan Castle, Arigna Coal Mining Experience and the famous Gunpowder Gin / The Shed distillery in Drumshanbo. At the end of a long day why not relax in the hot tub with a gorgeous view of rolling hills and Lough Allen. Hot Tub is an extra cost of €25 per person for up to three hours. Towels supplied.

Keogh's Country Retreat

Our home is nestled on 18 acres of idyllic countryside, which not only boasts access to a private lake with runner boards you can fish from but its green fields roll down to the banks of the Shannon River Navigation. By DAY you can take a stroll, watch calves frolic, swans busy with their signets, darting dragonflies and watch as the cruisers sail past. By NIGHT you can sip a glass and watch the fabulous sunsets, have a BBQ or toast marshmallows over a pot bellied fire under a blanket of stars.

This lovely new holiday home is in Ballintogher village about 250 yards from the local shop, 2 pubs, church and childrens playground. Ballintogher is an excellent base for cyclists, walkers, surfers & SUP to explore nearby lakes or Strandhill. We are only 5 minutes drive away from Castle Dargan hotel and therefore a popular base for people attending weddings, playing golf or enjoying the spa facilities there. We are also 5 minutes drive from the lake “lough Gill “ and the beautiful Slishwood.

The apt is located on the left of the main cover photo and is attached to our house with its own entrance private parking where you can relax and experience a bucolic atmosphere in woodland setting and enjoy very beautiful gardens and let yourself totally unwind and watch the boats go by. This apt is ideal for families with two kids /attending a wedding in Kilronan castle which is only 7 mins drive or a base to explore dublin/belfast/galway as we are only an hour and half from them .

The apartment is surrounded by water on three sides. It is bright, clean and spacious. Both bedrooms are en suite and the apartment is well equipped. It has beautiful views over the river Shannon and there are nice areas outside to relax by the river. Lanesborough has good restaurants, pubs and supermarkets. The apartment is 10 minutes from Roscommon town and is close to golf courses and many other amenities. You can hire boats/kayaks and and the apartment has a mooring for a boat.
