Public transport into the Lakes is limited and a car is recommended for wider exploration.

The Maltings Studio is a spacious and stylish self-contained ground floor studio apartment for two (with a King-sized bed or two singles). It is located in the peaceful Lake District countryside within easy walking distance of Cartmel Village and all it's amenities. There are also many walking and cycling routes to explore directly from the Studio. It is part of an 18th century restored barn called The Malting House, where malt was stored and used to brew ale for the monks of Cartmel Priory.

The medieval village of Cartmel is a 15 minute walk away, via public footpath through the surrounding fields or country lanes. Famous for its 12th century Priory, 2 Michelin starred restaurants & delicious sticky toffee pudding. The Edwardian town of Grange is a 5 minute drive with plenty of amenities and a lovely promenade walk. The southern end of Lake Windermere is a 12 minute drive.

(A babe in arms is welcome) 1 small pet allowed The apartment is a minute walk to all the amenities of Cartmel which includes the Race course and the famous Michelin starred Restaurants. We are just far enough from the villiage centre to be peaceful and relaxing. Tea and coffee is provided together with a welcoming drink. We also provide a free permit for on street Parking just outside the front door.
