Aspen House - Peaceful and Quiet

For those seeking solitude………you know who you are…. Toast marshmallows and watch the stars in our high altitude, low light pollution mountain paradise gem. Privately nestled in a tall pine and aspen forest. At 9,300 ft, the summers are cool, the wildflowers are plentiful and the stars are bright. Very private, very quiet. Sip your coffee on the deck and maybe the local moose, elk or deer will pay you a visit. Wildlife you won’t miss- mosquitoes. Enjoy your stay in our mosquito-less mountain.

The River Sweet

My river property is located right on the edge of the Arkansas river in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The property is comfortably accessed by the highway with ample parking for 4 automobiles. At the same time there is 1200’of private river access with a large comfortable access via boating and wading. Our property is really all about the river. In the spring, summer and fall the river can really be moving. This provides an ideal place to relax and enjoy the sounds, birds and pastoral scene.

Jefferson Farms

Spacious home located on alpaca farm. Quiet and private, storage space for bikes, ski gear etc. Large open living with living room/dining room/reading area/kitchen and two bedrooms with spacious bathroom. Bathroom has shower only (sorry- large soaking tub is in other apartment, which is adjoining to family apartment). Perfect get-away, rent both sides to sleep 8-10. Fully stocked and supplied. Fresh farm eggs and coffee/tea/hot chocolate/cream included. Collect your own eggs, if you want!

Cozy cabin

Relax with the whole family at this cozy cabin. The cabin is in the northern San Luis Valley with breath taking views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain Range. Located on a homestead with horses, goats, chickens, ducks, cats, and dogs nearby. It also backs up to the Rio Grande National Forest with multiple trails for ATV/UTV, dirt bike, and any off road vehicle. This location is 20min to Salida and Joyful Journey Hot Springs. It is 45min to Mount Princeton Hot Springs and the Great Sand Dunes.

Eagle Vista - free additional night

At elevation 9,300, enjoy a wide, jaw-dropping view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Sunsets and stargazing are spectacular. The wind sings through the pines and wildlife abounds. No mosquitos, just hummingbirds! The fully outfitted cabin interior features honey pine logs and a classic Old West theme. Get away from it all at our cottage - Retreat at Round Hill. You will have access to miles of hiking, biking & ATV trails. We own 36 acres, including Round Hill, with amazing mountain views all around. We are backed up to National Forest and BLM land. We're located two miles south of Poncha Pass Summit. Only 15-20 minutes to downtown Salida and 30 minutes to Monarch Mountain Ski Area. We have a fire pit and propane grill outside the entryway.
