Our secluded cabin is surrounded by ancient oak tree forest and all the wildlife that comes with it. It’s so peaceful that you will only hear the river and the birds. Set in 10 acres of our own land for you to explore and easy access to Snowdonia public foothpaths, it’s perfect for those looking to spend some time in nature. Hafod y Rhedwydd, an off-grid cottage in an SSSI

At 1150 feet above sea level Hafod y Rhedwydd is one of the 12 highest houses in Wales and completely off-grid - private water supply, electricity by petrol generator, broadband via satellite - in the Snowdonia National Park and surrounded by National Trust land with amazing views. The cottage lies 8 miles from Betws y Coed on the northern edge of the Migneint, a 200 square mile SSSI and Conservation Area that is home to a rich variety of wildlife including Hen Harriers and polecats.

Rhiw Goch Cottage is a spacious detached one bedroom stone-built cottage with wood burner dating from the 18th century or earlier. Our guests love the cottage for it's rustic charm and beautiful gardens with secluded glades and viewpoints over the Lledr valley. It's on a quiet hillside surrounded by craggy ancient woodland full of wildlife about 3 miles from Betws-y-Coed, well placed to explore Snowdonia but also well off the beaten track.
