It is situated 4 kms from Peggy's Cove, and is within an hour of Halifax and Lunenburg. The property is surrounded by trees, and the only sounds you will hear are the waves and the wind. Hiking trails are located at Polly's Cove, Peggy's Cove, sandy beaches are just a 5-40 min drive, and Oceanstone Spa is a 5 min walk. It is ideally suited for stays up to 3 weeks.

Herring Cove has much to offer with its hiking, sight seeing, simply sitting at the dock, or visiting our popular Pavia Cafe. It is a 15 minute drive to Downtown. This is a great spot for cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts.

Castle Bay Cottage

This adorable completely re-modeled cottage is steps away from the beautiful, sandy, salt water beach known as Coolen's Beach in Shad Bay, Nova Scotia. Twenty minutes from Halifax with hiking, kayaking, golf courses and restaurants all close by and scenic Peggy's Cove a short 20 minute drive away. We have created a charming and super comfortable retreat. We are sure our guests will enjoy the relaxing, peaceful vibe that this hidden little gem offers.

This coastal themed home is located at the end of a private lane on an estuary stemming from the ocean. A short 5-7 minute walk to one of Nova Scotia’s most beautiful beaches. You’ll fall in love with the sounds of the marine birds frolicking in the water directly a stones throw from any location of the home. Sunsets are spectacular!
