Cozy, remodeled bungalow near downtown Ferndale

Enjoy a visit to our summer home in Oak Park. It's a 1 mile drive through our historic neighborhood to downtown Ferndale. A 2 bed 1 bath built in 1930 was fully remodeled in 2020, including the addition of AC. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do when we come home to work remotely near family twice yearly. Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen; we love to cook! But make sure to take advantage of all the bars and restaurants in Ferndale. If traveling with the pup, there's a large fenced-in yard.

Vibe out in the basement game room! Refresh in our two person stand up luxury showers, or lay back in our living room for movie night!

Alexandrine Studio Midtown: Walk to the DIA

Fresh Gothic-Victorian nearby the Museum of African American History, Wayne State, Third Man Records, Shinola. Sfumato Fragrances is in the garden level, perfume shop by day and low-key scented cocktail bar at night. Stadt Garten, a German wein & bier garden, is below. Selden Standard across the street. 10 min ride to Downtown on QLINE streetcar. MoGo bike rental 1 block away. Gigabit speed Internet. Sonos in wall speakers. Deeply cleaned by local Latina owned + operated crew between guests.

The Painted House by Eastern Market ~Boutique B&B~

Right off the Wilkins exit of the Dequindre cut. Walkable to Eastern Market, Downtown, and the River! Easy to get to all stadiums and most major concert halls. Built by Cranbrook students for their thesis in micro-housing and revived by us in 2016! We have hosted over 500 guests ranging from a full boyscout troup to the broadway cast of The Book of Mormon to the parents of kids who play basketball at the highscool nearby. Hot tub for $165 Local wine in the minibar and Moped rentals also :)

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. You'll have a private space in a detached historic carriage house, sharing a yard with the host. We have a large yard with a patio near the carriage house, covered porch, grill, bbq pit, bocce court, and outdoor living room (summer). We have a dog that has yard access. Private, secured parking is available for 1 car. Families are welcome, as are pets. We recommend families 3+ contact us before booking to ensure the space will work for you.

Walking distance from restaurants, independent shops, and local nightlife in the historic Willis-Canfield retail district. Our 3 bedroom listing has an additional guest fee after the first 2 guests on the reservation. This fee covers the additional housekeeping of bedrooms, linens, and towels needed for larger groups.
