Restored 200 Year Old Church

Bookeen Hall is a 200 year old restored church about 20 mins from Galway City and within easy reach of the Cliffs of Moher, The Burren and Connemara. We are a short drive from Lignum (restaurant). We offer a private room (with 1 king size bed and 1 single bed) with a private bathroom. For larger groups there is a second room (with 1 king size bed), so we can accommodate up to 5. The nearest train station is 8 miles away in Athenry. We live here with our dogs and look forward to meeting you!

This charming and historical stay is set in the picturesque lakeside town of Eagle River. Just out your door is Lake Superior, a beach, river gorge, waterfall, sunsets & stargazing. This is a lovely, spacious, and private 2-story guest quarter with private entrance. 1st Floor: parlor (living room); kitchen; half bath; and a screened-in front porch with a lake view. 2nd Floor: a spacious guest room (with windows for a lakeview and lake breeze); full bath.

History Steps from the Beach

If you’re looking for more space and amenities than staying in a hotel room, but still want the cleanliness and professionalism you’d expect from one, then you may enjoy staying here. Our spacious 3 room, 1,200 square foot historic (c. 1670) one bedroom apartment for two guests has exposed beams, wide pine floors, full bath, kitchenette, and is just a short walk to Long Sands Beach or a short drive to York Beach, York Harbor, or York Village.

Beautiful Authentic Farmhouse close to Stowe

Built in 1902 and restored in 1988, we have tried to maintain the authenticity of a working Vermont farmhouse. Thus, the name of the farm is Antiquity Acres. Here you will find a quiet place to rest, away from noise, but minutes to Stowe on a beautiful, dead-end road with picturesque views. A private working horse farm sitting on 90 acres of open pastoral land with mountain views, complete with 2 spring-fed swimming ponds and walking trails.
