The cosy cottage is perfect for peaceful strolls across Donegal’s breathtaking beach’s& it’s the ultimate backdrop for a low-key romantic break, however, you’ll have to make friends with the cows while you’re there!

Harben Cottage in the green hills of Ardara

Harben Cottage is a 150 year old traditional stone cottage - 5mins drive from the Heritage Town of Ardara (20mins walk). Set amongst lush green hills & sitting next to a bubbling mountain stream. A mixture of new and old; low doorways, a turf fireplace, water supplied from a mountain spring, but also a gas cook top, oven, microwave, WIFI, & central heating. NB: that the toilet & shower are housed in outside annex - this may not suit everyone but adds a touch of authenticity for the brave!

This modern, luxurious cottage is truly special. It is located in the Tawnawully mountains by Lough Eske. It is set on 12 acres with a river running through it and a tumbling waterfall right by the cottage. Only 15 minutes drive to Donegal town, which has some really nice restaurants and bars. There is a castle to explore in the town and a wonderful craft village with a very good cafe. Ten minutes drive to Harveys Point and twelve minutes from Lough Eske castle, both reputable 5 * hotels.

The historic Donegal Town Centre is only a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk. We have Lidl Supermarket, Supermacs and Papa Johns Pizza less than a 1 minute drive or 3 minute walk. The Town has everything that visitors require i.e. Restaurants, Entertainment, walks & tours of surrounding areas. A good base to explore the Wild Atlantic Way. Check in time is 4pm to 7pm. It is seven miles from St. John's Point Peninsula and centrally located for visiting Ardara, Slieve League, Rossnowlagh beach, Fintra beach Portnoo golf Links, and Blue Stack Mountains.
