Galway's legendary walking tour !
The legendary tour centers around the tale of the Lynch family. Its a fascinating tale of how Walter Lynch is accused and tried for the murder of a visiting Spaniard who was a little too interested in his beautiful wife to be...or was he ? The story ends in a dramatic climax...but you will have to take the tour for that finale ! We also look at the legend of the Claddagh ring with a tale connected to Caribbean pirates, North African slave owners and a gold ring that speaks of eternal love. Christopher Columbus makes his appearance too, looking for a new way to China, but worrying that Atlantis might stand in his way. These and other tales are woven together in a 80-90 minute walk through the city. Its taken at a gentle pace to bring in all the major places of interest and embed them into the story of our city. Other things to note Dont worry about it raining - we have plenty of places to hide out of the rain !
The Quiet Man Film Locations Walking Tour
The Quiet Man Film Locations Walking Tour is a must for fans of the John Wayne classic, The Quiet Man. The guided tour brings visitors to the original film locations including Innisfree, Castletown, the Pat Cohan's Bar, the Dying Man's House, the Reverend Playfair's House, the fight scenes, the courting scenes and the "patty fingers in the holy water" scenes. Visitors hear: what happened when Hollywood invaded the sleepy village of Cong in 1951; what the film stars were like; how they interacted with the locals; and how the locals became intimately involved in the making of the movie. The tour includes entrance to The Quiet Man Museum, which offers an on-set experience of the White O’Morn cottage. The Museum also houses original artifacts from the movie including the fishing rod used by Father Lonergan and Michaeleen Og’s horse Napoleon’s harness. Visitors can dress up in costume for photos and re-enactments. A great interactive experience full of good old Irish craic. The walking tour and museum entry last approximately 1 hour. The tour consists of a short, easy stroll around the village of Cong with stops every few minutes at the movie locations. The tour and museum are wheelchair and mobility scooter accessible.
Aran Island Bike Tour with Tea/Scones - Day Trip from Doolin
Join me and my team of guides on one of the most beautiful and stress-free day trips to Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands! Meeting at Doolin Pier, we board a modern ferry for our 20-minute journey to Inisheer. En route, we often see the dolphins that love to swim beside the ferry. The island is like a time machine. As soon as you step foot on Inisheer, you will hear Irish (or Gaelic) being spoken everywhere. You will experience Irish traditions that have been lost on the mainland. We will bike our way around the breathtaking Island visiting sunken churches, rusted shipwrecks, and castles. After our bike tour, we will visit a local islander’s cafe, for some tea/coffee and fresh scones (an Irish sweet bread served with jam and cream). Una & John, the owners are fantastic storytellers who will share stories along with some island secrets! Afterward, you will have some free time. Some like to use their free time on the sandy beach, in the pub, or at the playground (if you have kids, they will love this playground - lots to do). If you like, you could simply bike around the island some more!
The Irish Wolfhounds
We have two pure bred Irish Wolfhounds. They are an ancient breed of Irish dog, and the largest dog in the world! You can meet up with Aidan at Bertra Beach, outside Westport where Aidan will introduce you to Spéir & Mairtín. You can greet and cuddle the dogs. Learn how they like to be petted and scratched and watch them run and play. Aidan will tell stories of the Legends of Cuchulain & his wolfhounds, from Irish mythology. And explain why lords & kings liked to have wolfhounds around them. Aidan can answer any questions about their care, eating habits, personalities, or any aspect of the dogs. At the end of the experience you can take photos of the dogs or Aidan will take photos while you hold the dogs by yourselves. By that time you can have made two wolfhound friends :)

Alpacas experience in a lovely farm
You'll jump right into the field, meeting our lovely alpacas and horses. You will know everything about them, about their life and habits. I attended several Alpacas Classes where I get my advanced certificates with the British Alpacas Association and the Alpaca Association of Ireland. You'll have the chance to meet 2 Alpacas Breeds! Huacaya and Suri. It's not easy to see Suri as they are very rare in Ireland!! You can meet them only at our farm nearby Loop Head and Kilkee! You'll feed them directly, and grab one of them, if you feel ready to. You'll have the opportunity to cuddle them, check them and train them too! This experience is completely tailored on you! You'll have the opportunity to meet and greet the chickens, and maybe you'll be lucky enough to pet them too! We'll be back at home, and I'll show you a spinning wheel, that I use with the alpaca wool. You can even have a try :) !! Other things to note We'll see and work with animals. Animals can be unpredictable sometimes, they can run, jump, or even spit. They can kick too. Normally it doesn't happen, but you must know that it's possible. We'll work mostly outside
