Located just south of the center of the island, this comfortable and spacious retreat boasts a 12 seater wood burning hot tub (private, hot when you arrive, and electrically heated overnight), gym, and firepit, in the secluded social area next to the river at the rear. With the TT course a mile north, and shops and pub 1/3 mile south, its the perfect retreat from watching the racing or exploring the island. Curlew

Dive into the history of this unique property. During WW2, Curlew cottage was part of the RAF Dalby site, and used as the NAAFI Kitchen and NAAFI Staff Quarters for those working in the receiving blocks (where they remain today). This formed a passive defence system that used steel-guyed transmitting masts and a pair of timber receiving towers, situated on the land by the sea, to to create maximum dispersal and deception.

Rose Cottage has been a holiday let since 2007. It is close to the historic village of St John's, rural countryside, Ballacraine corner on the TT course and the city of Peel and it's beach . The cottage has original features, a south facing aspect and has a very cosy feel. It is centrally located and ideal for exploring the island. The Douglas to Peel Heritage Footpath/Cycleway is close by.
