Shearers’ Shed Farm Stay - Bring your Horse!

Renovated shearers’ cottage on a working horse farm. A cosy, characterful 3‑bedroom retreat (sleeps 6) with kitchen and bathroom. Bring your own horse: guest yards, float parking and hundreds of acres to explore by saddle, plus bush-walk trails and the scenic Owen’s Scrub drive. Enjoy bird watching & morning birdsong, try peaceful fishing at Yarramalong, and pop into nearby vineyards and country markets. Owners live on site - please don’t handle their horses. Bonfire area with wood provided.

Bells House

Built in the 1940's by local builders, Bells House features unique furnishings with preference to upcycling and using furniture from bygone eras. The house is decorated with local art, ceramics and paintings(made by the host), photography(taken by the hosts daughter) . Bells house has spacious bedrooms with plenty of storage with built-in wardrobes. The beds made with quality linen bedding for your comfort. Conveniently located in the main street surrounded by trees, gardens and birdlife.

The Shearer's Quarters

Nestled beneath ancient river gums and with absolute river frontage, the Shearer's Quarters is located only 15 minutes from the thriving town of Goondiwindi. Situated on a working sheep farm, it is the perfect haven for relaxing, star gazing, fishing, bird watching, kayaking, reconnecting with nature or just breaking that interstate drive. Comes with basic cooking facilities, fridge/freezer, fire pit, fans, heating and wifi.

Mays Cottage is on a historical working sheep and cattle property. This is a delightful country experience less than 30 mins from Stanthorpe and all the beautiful wineries in the region. It is a fully self contained style accommodation that is suitable for 2 couples or a family of 4. Relish the seclusion offered by this unique location, nestled next to the creek. Pets are welcome in the fully fenced garden and verandah. There's a cosy outdoor fire pit for dinners under the stars.

The Vet Shed, Riversdale

Located at Riversdale, a 4200acre working cattle and irrigation property located below Glenlyon Dam. The Vet Shed is ideally set between the Severn & Dumaresq Rivers and Pikes Creek. Enjoy fishing, swimming and paddling in the crystal clear water or sit back and take in the spectacular views across Sundown National Park and the Mole River Valley. Enjoy the abundant wildlife in the region include an incredible array of bird life and even, on occasion, the reclusive platypus.

Melness Cottage

Melness cottage is a comfortable studio style accommodation on a 2500 acre farm 33km out of Goondiwindi. The cottage is separate to the main house and you will have private entry. It is only 300m from the highway to our entrance. There is a fire pit area to enjoy during your stay and the creek is a short walk from the cottage. For meals there is a microwave, Weber BBQ, bar fridge, kettle and toaster. A few basic breakfast supplies can be provided.

Our farm is unique because of its size and the ability to accomodate multiple families or friends all together. Large farm house as well as a cottage. Enjoy the sounds of nature with the amazing Dumaresq border river for fishing, canoeing and swimming, creeks, hills, and a beautiful farm house with a tennis court and swimming pool. Rachel's Cottage.

Rachel's Cottage was built my my great grandfather around 1898. The family lived there until my great Aunty Rae died in 1986. We repurchased it in 2004 in a very derelict state. We have renovated the cottage, keeping the original style as much as possible. The kitchen and bathroom are accessible via a small covered verandah. We welcome a pet or two but there are strict conditions for this and approval must be sought first.
