Our Yurt - Your Getaway. Rustic Luxury!

Reconnect with nature and each other all year round. Perfect for a romantic holiday/proposal. Nestled in the woods, directly across the road from a lake, it is private but not secluded. Your stay includes outdoor leisure equipment for fun on the lake every season. Just relax, I do the dishes! There's no running water in the yurts well-appointed kitchenette but everything else you need is there! The camp toilet is in an outbuilding by the yurt and a gorgeous guest shower room is up at the house.

The Cuckoo's Nest is 3-hours east of Toronto and 2-hours west of Ottawa. Our lake is perfect for fishing, it is connected to the Salmon River system. There is a boat launch down the road --or make use of our canoe. Guests fall in love with this place and choose to come back year after year. Our camp is a private, 300-acre wilderness, bordering on the pristine Salmon River as well as Cade Lake. Relax by the toasty wood stove, chop firewood, and hike or snowshoe through the rolling landscape of forests, granite, and river. Centrally located between Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal, and near Puzzle Lake Provincial Park.
