Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

This cottage has access to a nearby EV car charger Changeover day for week- long stays is a Friday It is a perfect hideaway for two with a cosy log burning fire, original beams, real wood floors and a lovely flower-filled garden. This tranquil lodge is approximately a 4 minute walk to the train station which has direct links to Newcastle,corbridge and Hexham all in under 20 minutes. With a cosy local pub a few minutes walk and a large playing field out the front it makes this lodge a lovely getaway for couples,families and small groups

Coach House - Bardon Mill

The Coach House is in the grounds of the main house but stands alone and it separate. It has a downstairs living area, and upstairs the bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The Kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer, oven, kettle etc, and all of the kitchenware you will need during your stay. The Bedroom can sleep up to 4 adults (Double bed) and 2 adults sized wall bunk-beds. Bedding & towels are provided. Has Wifi and Netflix

Built in 1780, this thick -walled cosy cottage has historic charm with modern comforts. South facing with stone walled garden, from which you can survey a spectacular view 20 miles deep and 35 miles wide over the Tyne valley. The cottage is at 700 feet above sea level and you feel you are on the roof of England. It is situated in a quiet rural location 2 miles from both Hexham and Corbridge and half an hour from Newcastle.
