Te Tiro Cottage Two & Glowworms

We have two beautiful “Pioneer-style” cottages nestled in amongst the stunning Waitomo landscape. Enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the central North Island and mountains in our two self-contained, pioneer-style cottages (sleep 4 persons). - Cottage set-up to sleep 4 people - 2 Adults and 2 children - 2 Couple (Cozy) The price is for a up to 4 guests. Our place is great for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). We are a 15-20 minute drive past the Waitomo Village so it pays to eat before you come up or bring supplies with you. There is a two element cook top and a microwave. The cottage is one room with a queen bed down and a small loft above that has two single mattresses in it. Cosy but cute. Each cottage has its own bathroom about 8 steps from the cottage. We would love you to come and share our little piece of paradise. The accommodation is nestled within a bush setting on top of a hill where you can see out over the whole central north Island. You even have your own grotto only meters from your door where you can sit quietly surrounded by a galaxy of Glow-worms. Enjoy the starry nights and peace and quiet of the country. You are more them welcome to wander around the farmland and enjoy the fantastic views, check out the Dab Chick Pond and beautiful native bush. Amazing views/Glowworms/Native bush/Caves/Black Water Rafting. If we are not going to be home there is still family around to help out if needed. Check in is from 3pm/ check out at 10am.

Waitomo self contained unit

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis after your long drive or your exciting cave experience. Very comfy Queen bed. Only 28 metres off State Highway 39, 2km northwest of the lovely town of Otorohanga. 15 mins drive to Waitomo Caves 2 minutes drive to town. Situated 15 metres from the main house, the unit is private and secure, with car park alongside unit. Easy entry - just walk in, there is a key inside. Good wifi, modern TV, microwave, jug, breakfast in the fridge - cereal, milk.

Rural farmhouse.

This house is situated on a working farm so on occasion there will be stock work nearby, (with the accompanying acoustics) other times it will be just the surrounding rural views to keep you company. The property is located within minutes from the Waitomo Glowworm Caves and all the other attractions that this region offers. Spend a couple of nights and visit the West Coast eg Kawhia with it's great fishing or dig your own hot pools. Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room.

The Potter’s Pad

The Potter’s Pad is a gorgeous, private tiny home in the foothills of Pirongia Mountain, with stunning countryside views in every direction The perfect place to experience off grid living but with all the luxuries. Beautifully furnished and full of unique handmade pottery, relax in our hammock chairs and soak up the sunset by the outdoor fire pit Talk to the horses while you listen to the nearby stream and birdlife instead of traffic, although only a two minute drive in to Pirongia Village

Breathe the fresh country air at this contemporary architecture retreat. On the outside, the home features a sleek industrial aesthetic and a private outdoor bath, while the inside bursts with a boutique design style, neutral greys, and wood accents. The country stay is located down a typical New Zealand country road. Surrounded by dairy farms and kiwi fruit orchards, guests may see farmers about their daily work. Feel free to wave out to them if they drive past in their tractors.

Relax at this unique and tranquil getaway. This is a tiny colonial cottage. Ideally suited for a couple. The king sized bed lowers down when required. The table can convert to a small child’s bed. Full kitchen facilities with stove and fridge freezer. coffee and teabags supplied. Just off SHW3, easy access to mountain biking and walking trails on Pirongia Mountain. Cafes, restaurant and a 4 square close by. Tucked away off the main road. Free parking on site.

Pirongia Mountain Getaway

Apartment is adjacent to my house on Pirongia Mountain. I'm 20 min from Te Awamutu, 30 min to Hamilton , 40 min to Waitomo Caves, Lake Karapiro or Raglan, 1 hr to Hobbiton & 25 min to Mystery Creek for Field Days. Queen-size bed accommodates up to 2 people. Beautiful views across the area & close access to many local tramping options. Solar-powered apartment is in excellent shape with a kitchen covered with all the basics. Heat pump, wifi & tv (freeview) provided.

Raz and Louise’s b&b

We are situated only 200m from the Main Street of otorohanga and an easy 15min drive to the popular Waitomo caves. Accommodation is a single room situated approximately 15m from main house with a parking area right by unit and offers everything you will need for a comfortable nights stay. Continental breakfast is provided. Also available if required we have a pull out single bed which would be more suited for a child.

The Silk Tree Studio (Nr. Waitomo Caves)

Time to relax in a peaceful quiet location with beautiful views. A very spacious self-contained studio, set amongst gardens of the main house with young dairy stock all around. Light breakfast included, Toast, Spreads, Yogurt, Orange Juice, Fresh Milk, and Cereals. Sit in your private spa pool after a busy day and watch the sun go down and the stars in the evening, they are so clear.
