The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Permaculture garden stay - 2 bedrooms

Cosy, clean, quiet and spacious 2 bedroom garden apartment with separate lounge, kitchen and bathroom, with every amenity for a great stay. Large paved patio with barbecue and outdoor furniture and views over the acre of permaculture garden. Adults and children over 13 only (garden safety issues). Two mins walk to Locals cafe, 2 mins drive to takeaways/bars, 5 mins drive to centre of town, coastal walkway, galleries, and museum. Ten mins drive to Pukekura park for Womad and Bowl concerts.

This self-contained unit is located less than a 10 min walk from New Plymouth town and costal walkway. It boasts a warm cosy space with all the amenities you need. It has a separate entrance from the main home allowing for more privacy with its own bathroom and kitchenette (with microwave, two elements, fridge, kettle and toaster). There is plenty of free street parking as well as a single car parking space next to the airbnb (for small cars only).

The Black Yurt

A separate small building contains the toilet.
