The Old Byre, An Gleann

The Old Byre is a spacious, one bedroomed cottage to the rear of An Gleann, our home/business. It sits 4 miles outside of Port Charlotte on the road to Portnahaven. The cottage has its own private parking and secluded patio area to the side and back. Recently built on the site of our old byre, the cottage combines traditional features with bright decor and all the essential home comforts. Set within our 1 acre garden, surrounded by forestry and farmland, this is the ideal place to come to relax!

Newly renovated, this beautiful cottage is perfect for couples or a family to explore all that Islay has to offer. Situated on the bay at Portnahaven, you have the sheltered beach a couple of minutes from the house is perfect for children to play! Sit at the table in the lounge or the bench outside & watch the seals swimming & sunbathing, local fisherman in the boats and relax! A variety of whisky distilleries, explore outdoors, enjoy local crafts & the pub just a short stroll around the bay!

Mattie’s House 17 Ardview

Mattie’s house is in the village of Port Ellen,very central 5 minutes to the ferry port and minutes to the sandy beach.There are shops and hotels and distilleries all within walking distance,if you are coming by car there is on street parking and if you are coming by public transport the bus stop is meters away,please be aware we are in a residential area.The house has one double bedroom,one twin,living room,kitchen and bathroom with walk in shower,there is oil central heating in the property.

Bright, Airy and Cosy for a relaxing stay. Tarsgeir is an UPPER FLAT in a block of 4 ( 2 up - 2 down). Being located in Port Ellen gives you a fantastic starting point for most sightseeing to be done on Islay, whether by car, foot, bus or bike there is plenty to do and see. Just minutes to Ferry terminal, shops, restaurants, pubs and bus stops. The 'three distillery path' starts opposite 20 mtrs away, a nice walk not just for distilleries, also for wildlife, views and the Islay fresh air.

The Black House, Islay

The Black House is a unique property situated between Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. We use the house for High School to save commuting from Jura every day so don’t expect a pristine holiday let but rather a loved family space. There are 2 double beds and 2 bunk bedrooms (if you’re a party of single adults then 4 is the maximum number). Views are stunning and Islay’s great for whisky, wildlife or just rest and relaxation. Gartartan provides stylish and contemporary accommodation with stunning sea views towards Kilnaughton Bay, Port Ellen (within 1 km) and beyond to Kintyre. Distilleries nearby. Gartartan is spacious with efficient underfloor heating and insulation. The open-plan living area has an abundance of light, wooden flooring throughout and a modern wood-burning stove. Portbahn was our family home before moving to Jura, and we hope you'll find it as welcoming as we did. Old Gortan Schoolhouse

Welcome to Old Gortan Schoolhouse! Built around 1880, today the Schoolhouse is a characterful cottage. Located just one mile outside the village of Bruichladdich, with its progressive whisky distillery, the Schoolhouse boasts stunning views of Loch Indaal. From the dining room or garden bench, you can watch the tide, plentiful seabirds, and gaze across to the Paps of Jura and the other side of the island. With the gorgeous views and cosy interior, you won’t want to leave!

Daisy cabin is a comfortable yet modern one bedroom log cabin nestled into the woods. Daisy features a small bathroom, kitchen, lounge area and bedroom alongside an outdoor wraparound deck complete with gate for keeping dog in or mine out . Hot tub area where you can relax under the stars. The outdoor space also has bbq and dining area. Turn left or right at bottom ofdrive & you will arrive at beach , or just take in Bird life in the valley .

Whether you’re looking for a family break, a whisky enthusiast on the trail or a keen cyclist looking to explore the island, No7 Lagavulin is the perfect base for your Islay adventure. This traditional 3 bed ground floor distillery cottage features two double bedrooms and bunk bedroom (Sleeps 6) with separate living room, kitchen and main shower room. To the back of No7, you’ll find a good sized garden with views down to Lagavulin Bay.
