Yogyakarta is a famous city with the batik. Visiting Yogyakarta will be not complete without seeing or buying a batik. And why not do more than just seeing or buying the batik. Make it your self as its much more fun! You will make the batik in Kotagede. It is about 6 kilometres from the city center. Its an old town where the first kingdom of Yogyakarta was built. Here you will make batik with the local atmosphere. You will make a batik using canting ( special tools for batik) and hot wax. The next process is you will do coloring using brush. So there will be so colorful batik painting. After the coloring you will get a lunch with traditional food from here. While waiting for the finishing process which is mostly need for drying you will have a small tour with me or with my co-host go around the area. This tour will take about 1 till 2 hours. You will see this unique area such as the traditional old houses , the first old islamic kingdom area of Yogjakarta, old big banyan tree and the history of those places. After the small tour is finish you will go back to the studio and bring your own batik as a beautiful souvenir.

Looking for a quick trip to Bromo from Surabaya or Malang? Have no idea how to get to Bromo? This experience is exactly made just for you then as the trip will start from Either Surabaya or Malang. I'll pick you up wherever your hotel is or wherever you want me to pick you up and then we're heading straight to Probolinggo during midnight. The trip to Probolinggo itself will take approximately 2 hours. After reaching Probolinggo, we continue our trip by changing vehicle to a 4WD vehicle, a vehicle like no others. A classic 1970's Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 that will bring us during our visit to Bromo and its surrounding. Once on the vehicle, we'll head to King Kong Hill for finding a spot to see the sunrise. As we still have around 2 hours before doing so, we'll wait at the local Warung in King Kong Hill to try some sweet local snack and have some warm drink. After the sunrise and couple of pictures, we'll head to Bromo Crater for a light hike and seeing the area surrounding including the Pura Luhur Poten. Once done, we head back to Surabaya to call it a day.

We'll start this experience fist of all introducing about Batik and some tools which we will use, and also the way to do properly. Then We will learn how to make batik until the end of the process led by the local people, and also we can take the result of painting batik as the souvenir. While waiting for the the batik dry after dying process we can enjoy visiting the Sojiwan Temple close to the Batik Place (include the package). After all the process done you can take it the batik result directly. This activity also good to combine with your tour to Prambanan Temple.

We will visit the oldest harbour in Jakarta - called Sunda Kelapa. The harbour has been existed for more than 500 years. Its importance in the past has attracted many people to make living here, and also attracted Eurasians to build a colony here - the colony is called Batavia. Due to her background, Sunda Kelapa and Batavia has become a melting pot for many culture and shape Jakarta present. Sunda Kelapa harbour is still functioning now, servicing cargo that is loaded into Phinisi Ship. The phinisi is a traditional Indonesian two-masted sailing ship. The ship herself is made from solid wood, and has been sailing since Majapahit era. We will perform a short walk in the pier, then we will perform sightseeing with a small boat around the pier. If we are lucky enough, we may board the phinisi ship to see the crew activities and admire the ship construction from inside. After this, we will visit Museum Bahari and Menara Syahbandar to see the ruins of Sunda Kelapa and Batavia Harbour. I will share some stories about the Portuguese and Dutch era, and its effect to Jakarta present architecture and culture life. Other things to note Put your most comfortable clothes and shoes!
