Beautiful historic home in the heart of the Heritage Hill Historic District. Surrounded by blocks of preserved historic homes. Walk to Wealthy and Cherry Hill districts for boutiques, craft beer and some of Grand Rapids best restaurants. This apartment is on the second floor in the back of our home with wonderful light and airflow. You have your own entrance and all areas of the apartment are for you only. Located just outside of a small West Michigan town in a rural development, with a large Meijer grocery store nearby. New construction in our finished basement. You can access the basement through a private entrance. Kitchen has a toaster oven, hot plate and microwave. Refrigerator for your food. Wood-burning sauna is also available. We need a few hours notice if you would like to use it—heats up slower in the winter. Just a quick 25-30 min drive from Downtown Grand Rapids, close to Hwy 131.

The Suite is a cozy place to rest from your travels or stay while you visit family/friends. Away from the bustle of downtown, yet only a 10 minute drive to all the venues in the Grand Rapids downtown area. It’s a small but well stocked suite , self contained space in the front of our home. Tanger Outlet is 1 mile away for convenient shopping. There are a number of restaurants close to choose from. Continental breakfast provided ( plant based) hot/cold cereal, bread, fruit, coffee bar.

Welcome! Come stay at our historic home just outside of Grand Rapids. Guests will stay in a 3-room PRIVATE SUITE with a PRIVATE ENTRANCE, and a private full bath. There is not a kitchen; we do have kitchen amenities (microwave, small fridge , Keurig, & toaster). Also, please note: we do not have a television, but do have Wi-Fi. We are 15 min. from the Airport and 20 min. from downtown GR. Experience a tavern & stage coach stop by staying at the historic Whitney Tavern Stand built in 1853.

Guests have access to this entire walkout basement studio with large backyard and creek. This newly renovated space has a Helix mattress queen bed, living room space, full bath, and a kitchenette which includes; a medium sized fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, electric kettle, plates, bowls, and silverware. We’re a 5 minute walk from Ken-O-Sha Park with great hiking trails, just south of 28th street, a 10 minute drive to the airport, and a 15 minute drive to downtown GR.

The Amberg House - a Frank Lloyd Wright Original

Staying in a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is a bucket list item for fans of America's most acclaimed architect. The Amberg House was completed in 1911 at the pinnacle of Wright's Prairie Style influence. Though every Wright home is special, the Amberg House is a unique collaboration between Wright and Marion Mahony. Mahony worked with Wright from 1896 until 1909. A graduate of MIT, she was the first woman to be licensed as an architect in the US.
