The first thing you ll notice is the ancient (uneven) curved stone staircase, not really suitable for children. There are interesting and individual shops, cafes and restaurants in which are just minutes’ walk away.

An ideal base to explore, adventure or relax - taking in the 360° stunning views of the Lune Valley, Ingleborough and the gorgeous sunsets. The barn sleeps 6 people. It has a family bedroom which sleeps 4, a double bedroom, a cosy lounge, a bright conservatory, a spacious dining room, two bathrooms and an outdoor dining area.

We are dog friendly. Our 250 year old cottage features modern rustic decor, u/f heating, log burner, super-fast internet, Smart TV, Sonos sound system and a complimentary podPoint 7kw EV charger. There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.

The Old Potting Shed, cosy retreat with hot tub

The Old Potting Shed is a romantic hideaway for two set in the walled garden of the owners' house with its own private entrance. The retreat is totally secluded, but still just a minutes walk to Sedbergh's lovely pubs and cafes. It's the perfect base: head out walking in the hills straight from your door or use our electric bikes to explore the quiet lanes. When you get back, soak in the wood fired hot tub and enjoy a drink on the terrace while admiring the wonderful view of the fells.

Upstairs there is a large bathroom with a bath & shower over, The spacious master bedroom features a king 5' wide double bed, bedside tables & large dressing table with comfy furniture. The cottage is in the small village of Gressingham in the beautiful Lune valley and Forest of Bowland AONB. There is easy access to both the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales national parks. In addition the attractions of Kirkby Lonsdale, the historical city of Lancaster and RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss are only 15-20 minutes away. Gressingham is a small, picturesque village and makes the perfect location for walkers, cyclists and those wanting a country break.
